Outreach

Everything you need to learn, connect, and explore.

Connecting Community

Bringing library services to you—wherever you are.

Books and movies are only helpful if you can reach them. LCPL’s Outreach team expands access to library materials and programs across Lincoln County, meeting patrons where they live, learn, and gather.

Home Delivery

Library materials delivered to your door.

Lincoln County residents who can’t visit the library may qualify for home delivery through our outreach vehicle. We make bi-weekly stops county-wide and can bring books, audiobooks, movies, and more.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you like (genres, authors, formats).

  2. We select materials and schedule delivery.

  3. Return items at your next delivery or via a family member/caregiver.

Eligibility examples: limited mobility, illness/recovery, caregiving responsibilities, transportation barriers.

Outreach Programs

Reading, creating, and learning—beyond our walls.

We partner with schools, community centers, neighborhoods, and local events to offer pop-up libraries, storytimes, craft activities, and library card sign-ups.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Free monthly books for children under age 5.

Thanks to generous community support, eligible children in Lincoln County receive one free, age-appropriate book each month by mail until their fifth birthday.

United Way Born Learning Trails

Playful outdoor learning for young children and families.

Lincoln County has two Born Learning Trails—at First Southern Veterans Park and Logan-Hubble Park—created with partners including Heart of Kentucky United Way, LC Fiscal Court, LC Parks & Rec, and LCPL. Each trail features 10 interactive signs that turn a simple walk into a learning adventure.

Community Stops

Regular library visits where people live and meet.

We set up recurring stops at residential communities and gathering places to offer on-site borrowing and library card services. This service will expand with our new bookmobile.

Tiny Libraries

Take a book, share a book—anytime.

Lincoln County Public Library supports a growing network of Tiny Libraries throughout our community — small, outdoor book-sharing boxes where anyone can borrow or leave a book. These cozy little libraries make reading accessible for everyone, no matter where you live.

You can find our Tiny Libraries at:

  • Veterans Park (Stanford)

  • Hustonville Park (Hustonville)

  • Crab Orchard Park (Crab Orchard)

  • Waynesburg Clinic (Waynesburg)

  • McKinney Crossing (McKinney)

Our Outreach Department keeps these stocked with books for all ages, encouraging literacy and community connection across Lincoln County.

You can help share the joy of reading! Sponsors provide a one-time $100 donation to fund a new Tiny Library, plus an optional $30 annual donation to help keep it filled with books.

To learn more about sponsoring or hosting a Tiny Library, please contact the library at (606) 365-7513.
