Get a Library Card

Your key to books, learning, and more.

Who Can Get a Library Card

Open to everyone in our community.

Library cards are free for Lincoln County residents, students, and workers. Visitors from outside the county may also be eligible. Just bring a valid photo ID and proof of address.

How to Apply

Quick, easy, and free.

Stop by the library to complete a short application form or use the button link below to apply online. Our staff will help you through the process and get you reading in minutes!

What You’ll Need

Bring the right documents and you’re set.

A photo ID with your current address is required. If your ID does not show your current address, bring a utility bill, lease, or other official mail. Kids and teens under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign their application.

Borrowing Basics

Know what you can check out and for how long.

Most books and audiobooks check out for two weeks, while DVDs may have shorter loan periods. Items can usually be renewed if no one else is waiting. Overdue fines may apply to late returns.

Digital Resources

Take your library wherever you go.

Your card also gives you free access to eBooks, audiobooks, research databases, and more—available anytime on your computer, phone, or tablet.

Lost or Damaged Cards

We’ll help you get back on track.

If your card is lost or damaged, let us know right away. Replacement cards are available for a small fee.
