How do I get a library card?

Bring a photo ID with your current address to the library. Cards are free for Lincoln County residents. Non-residents may also be eligible—ask staff for details.

How much does it cost to borrow materials?

Borrowing is free! Late fees may apply if items are returned past their due date.

Can I renew items?

Yes. Renew online through My Library Account, call the library, or ask at the circulation desk. Renewals may be limited if another patron has requested the item.

Does the library offer Wi-Fi?

Yes! Free Wi-Fi is available in and around the library 24/7. Select Library from your device’s network list.

 

Can I print, copy, or fax at the library?

Yes. Printing, copying, faxing, and scanning services are available for a small fee. See the Library Services page for details.

 

Equipment Loans FAQ

Guidelines for borrowing library equipment.

Who may borrow equipment?

Adults age 18+ with a valid library card and a positive borrowing record (3 consecutive months with at least 3 checkouts in the last 6 months).

Can I reserve equipment for a specific date?

Yes. Equipment may be reserved up to one month in advance. Laptops and hotspots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

How long can I borrow equipment?
  • Laptop/Hotspot kits: 28 days (4 weeks)

  • Chromebooks: 90 minutes (in-library)

  • Other equipment: Up to 3 days, if no other bookings
    All equipment must be picked up and returned during library hours.

What happens if I return equipment late?

Borrowing privileges may be suspended. Equipment must be returned directly to staff.

 

What if equipment is lost, damaged, or stolen?

Borrowers are responsible for care and safe return of all items. Replacement or repair costs will be billed to the borrower. Recovery may include calls, letters, or legal action.
